Support our first documentary film
WTW is producing our first documentary film, how Bhutan became a global inspiration, and we need your help.
Last spring, three of us (writer and researcher Jonah Goodman, videographer Taco Zwaanswijk and myself) travelled to the Himalayas to seek and document examples of how Bhutan became an inspiration for both developing and developed countries. The result of this research which started 18 months ago will be the upcoming issue of Works That Work, which will be entirely about this tiny country with big ideas.
While we work on the printed issue which will come at the end of November, we are also working on our first video project. We came back from Bhutan with terabytes of material, and we want to create a documentary movie about a country that is an inspiration for its unique approach to cultural and environmental preservation, and for how it is leapfrogging traditional industrialised powers in many ways.
As you can imagine, research and video production is very time-consuming and expensive. That’s why we’ve just launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the production. Please have a look at this proposal. We would be delighted if you could spread the word and consider supporting this project.
